Butchery Jobs

Foodstuffs is one of New Zealand's largest trainer of butchers, and we're renowned for our high standards of professionalism, high quality meat and thorough food safety and health and safety compliance. All PAK'nSAVE and New World stores have their own butchery section, staffed by qualified butchers. The size of the team is dependent on the size of the store, but it can range from 10 to 40 staff. Butchery teams are normally made up of butchers and meat packers, with the latter often making up half of the team. Quite often we'll employ casual workers as what we call 'clean up crew', but like all areas of Foodstuffs, if the will is there, we'll support the individual to take up a butchery apprenticeship.
